Bill Yanek graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1992, and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas in 2000. He is also a Major in the United States Army Reserve, serving in the Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps. Bill was a State Issues Advocate for the Washington, DC-based Real Estate Services Providers Council (RESPRO®) before coming to ASC. Prior to that, Yanek served as the Director of Governmental Relations for the Kansas Association of Realtors. He has also served as the Government Affairs Director for the Manhattan and Topeka Builder-Realtor Coalitions. Bill's professional memberships include the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and the Kansas Bar Association. He is licensed to practice law in Kansas.

GICC's General Counsel is Kim Mann, an attorney in private practice in Washington, D.C. with the firm of Scopelitis, Garvin, Light, Hanson & Feary. Kim is a graduate of Yale University (1962) and Vanderbilt Law School (1965). He has served as general counsel of many glass and glazing industry trade associations over the years, starting with the Flat Glass Marketing Association in 1973, now part of the Glass Association of North America. Kim incorporated GICC in 1983, prepared its bylaws, and has served as its General Counsel ever since. He attends all meetings of the GICC members and of its Board and has appeared before the model building code organizations on behalf of GICC when necessary in support of GICC's Code Consultant.

Bill Koffel has more than 20 years of experience in fire protection engineering, survey, analysis, cost estimation, design and documentation projects. He is nationally recognized as an expert in the fire protection field. He is a member of the SFPE Board Of Directors, and a member of several Technical Committees of the Life Safety Code, NFPA 101; Chair of the Life Safety Technical Committee on Means of Egress; and serves on the Technical Committee on Health Care Facilities, the Technical Committee on Automatic Sprinklers, the Technical Committee on Fire Doors and Windows and the Technical Committee on Contents and Furnishings. He is also member of the American Society for Hospital Engineering Codes and Safety Committee.

Dr. Thomas Culp is the owner of Birch Point Consulting, located in La Crosse, Wisconsin. After earning his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, he worked at ATOFINA Chemicals in Philadelphia for 6 years, focusing on the development of low-e glass coatings for energy efficient glazing. After returning to Wisconsin, Tom now provides engineering and strategic consulting services to glazing and framing manufacturers in the areas of energy efficient window performance, building code development, and interaction with government and industry bodies.
